Naeba Ski Resort: Opening December 16, 2023, Saturday!

There’s something exhilarating about this mountain!

Naeba Prince Hotel & Naeba Ski Resort (located in Minamiuonuma District, Yuzawa Town, Niigata Prefecture) is excited to kick off the hotel’s operation from December 15, 2023 (Friday), and the ski resort’s 2023-2024 winter season begins on December 16, 2023 (Saturday).

The operating courses at Naeba Ski Resort feature the Prince No. 2 Gondola, which takes you up to an elevation of about 1,500 meters. Here, you can enjoy smooth, gentle slopes on the Takenoko Plateau, known for its excellent snow quality.

Depending on future snowfall, various courses in front of the hotel will open in stages. From December 23 (Saturday), the Naeba Dragondola, Japan’s longest, will start operating. This marks the grand opening of Mt. Naeba, a vast snow resort that connects Naeba Ski Resort and Kagura Ski Resort with just one gondola ride.

This season, Naeba Prince Hotel & Naeba Ski Resort isn’t just about skiing and snowboarding. We offer ‘natural experiences’ where you can enjoy breathtaking snowy landscapes without having to ski, and a variety of snow activities. Experience the winter charm of a ski resort, even if you’re not on skis or a snowboard.

Also, this season continues our initiative of free lift tickets for children up to elementary school age and for 20-year-olds on weekdays. By offering these incentives, we’re creating opportunities for families to enjoy ski trips together and encouraging young adults to make their debut on the slopes. Our goal is to share the joy of winter sports and expand the community of skiers and snowboarders!

Enjoy the Spectacular View from the Summit of Takenoko Mountain “ZEKKEI FIRST TRACK” (Reservation Required)

This exclusive plan, limited to one group per day, allows you to cruise on a snowmobile from the gondola summit station to the summit of Takenoko Mountain at an elevation of 1,789 meters. Photos taken at the summit of Takenoko Mountain will be turned into an original poster and sent to you later by mail.

After the photo session, you can choose to ski down or cruise back to the gondola summit station on the snowmobile.
