Kicking Off with Seven Oops, the 3-Piece Unit Born in Okinawa!

Seven Oops, a three-piece band born and raised in Okinawa, started in their second year of high school in 2004, and this year marks their 17th anniversary. They made their major debut in 2011 with EPIC Records while based in Okinawa. In 2021, they established their own company, ‘oops Inc.,’ and went independent, focusing on music, fashion, and event planning. With online activities like live streaming and exclusive fan club content, they’ve broadened their online presence. Next year, they plan to release new music, go on a national tour, and organize both online and offline events to bring ‘music born in Okinawa’ to a wider audience!

Next Up, the Songstress of Amami, Chitose Hajime!

Originally from Amami Oshima in Kagoshima Prefecture, Chitose Hajime made a striking debut in 2002 with ‘Wadatsumi no Ki.’ Since then, she has captivated audiences with her unique voice and presence. In 2015, she won the Planning Award at the 57th Japan Record Awards for her peace-themed cover album ‘Heiwa Gannen.’ Celebrating her 20th anniversary in the music industry in 2022, she released ‘Niji no Fumoto,’ her first original album in 14 years. In November 2023, she released a remastered CD and vinyl edition of her best album ‘Kataritsugu Koto.’ As a storyteller inheriting the unique culture of ‘Shima Uta’ from Amami Oshima, she continues to draw attention.

Closing Act: Singer-Songwriter, MINMI!

Born in Osaka Prefecture, MINMI emerged like a comet in the reggae scene and debuted in August 2002. Known as the ‘Queen of Summer Festivals,’ she became the female artist with the most festival appearances in 2015. She is a versatile composer and producer, capable of creating music across various genres. Particularly renowned for integrating ‘Soca’ into Japanese POPS, she has composed and produced hits like ‘Shanana’ and Shonan no Kaze’s ‘Suirenka.’ Along with her music, she helped popularize the culture of twirling towels to energize crowds in Japan. In August 2022, she celebrated her 20th anniversary in the industry.
