A Downtown Hotel Where You Can Enjoy Cherry Blossom Viewing Day and Night, Featuring a Seasonal “Sakura Bar,” Enchanting Nighttime Illuminations in the Japanese Garden, and Special Events

At Hotel New Otani Tokyo, home to a sprawling Japanese garden of 10,000 tsubo (approximately 33,000 square meters) with 58 cherry trees representing 19 varieties, we’re delighted to offer “Spring Cherry Blossom Journey 2024,” a special accommodation plan and restaurant & bar events celebrating cherry blossom season. This limited-time event will run from March 1st (Friday) to April 14th (Sunday), 2024.

Additionally, an exclusive event for hotel guests, the “Lantern Garden Walk – Sakura,” allows you to enjoy viewing the cherry blossoms at night while carrying a lantern light.

The Japanese garden at the Hotel New Otani, with its 400-year history dating back to the early Edo period in Japan, features 58 cherry trees of 19 different varieties, each blossoming at different times. This allows for an extended cherry blossom viewing season, longer than usual.

In 2024, plans to enjoy cherry blossoms, events, and decorations will be implemented both inside and outside the hotel starting from March 1st (Friday). Guests can enjoy the cherry blossom viewing atmosphere even inside the hotel.

At night, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of its opening this September, the hotel will host the “Tokyo ‘Yozakura’ Light-Up” for the first time, illuminating its 10,000-tsubo Japanese garden in cherry blossom hues. Additionally, exclusively for guests, the “Lantern Garden Walk ~ Sakura ~” will be held, where guests can walk through the night-time Japanese garden carrying lanterns provided by the hotel. Enjoy a magical cherry blossom viewing experience at night in an easily accessible Japanese garden in the city center.
